About

EDITINGSCHOOL is a 3-day (sometimes more - sometimes less) course exclusively dedicated to advanced Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy (MRS). While it was originally designed to have a strong focus on theory of edited spectroscopy, editable metabolites, and editing methodology.. the course has expanded to cover background in MRS theory, analysis software, and practical tips for successful MRS studies. Registration is limited, to keep a small-classroom feel to things. We hope this will encourage everyone to ask questions and maximize their learning!

Who is this course aimed at?

EDITINGSCHOOL will be invaluable to students, whether just starting out or preparing to write up, and postdocs using or developing MRS. Faculty, particularly those from a neuroscience/clinical background, will also find something to chew on.

What will the course cover?

  • Background - Basic principles of MR, MRS theory, and Brain Applications

  • Acquisition - Common and Universal Pulse Sequences

  • Editing - Theory of Editing and Editable Metabolites

  • Software - Processing, Quantification, and more with OSPREY.

  • Practical - Tips, Expectations, and Review of Data Quality

When and Where

Each year, EDITINGSCHOOL is held in November and followed by the International Symposium for Advanced MRS. EDITINGSCHOOL is held in various locations across the world from Park City, Utah to Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
